THE CHALLENGE

Connected2Me wanted to branch out into a new market for their anonymous chat app. Targeting the gaming community, they engaged Reign to develop a strategy to draw in gamers to use the app.

THE SOLUTION

Reign wanted to increase brand awareness and drive installs by partnering with a gaming influencer to promote the Connected2Me app. We selected a top gaming YouTuber to create two YouTube videos that would encourage people to download the Connected2Me app.

To drive installs, the YouTuber invited his followers to download the app and use it to submit anonymous questions for a Q&A, creating an authentic opportunity to experience the power of the app. The influencer later answered the questions that were shared, and gave viewers a chance to see how the app works including screenshots from the app itself. The campaign was further amplified through content shared on the influencer’s Facebook and Twitter.

THE RESULT

With nearly half a million views, more than 5,000 comments, and an impressive click-through-rate, the campaign successfully enabled Connected2Me to engage gamers from YouTube to learn about and download the app. Not only did the campaign achieve the goal of driving installs, it got people to sign up for an account and engage with the app, using it to ask questions.
